The grid in these screens contain all the Risks & Premiums received against the Contract. Risks are from Risk submissions (e.g. Risk Bordereaux), Premiums are from Premium submissions (e.g. Premium Bordereaux).
The columns displayed relate to the Schema(s) that are used to process data, with some additional core fields always displayed on the left, such as Error Count and Row Number. You can change the fields displayed, and their order, by clicking on Field Display.
Understanding the historical progression of a Risk or Premium record
Every record in the grid has an Entry Status, which specifies the position of the record in the progress of the Risk or Premium over time. The Entry Status is a standard column in this grid, fourth from the left.
By default, only the Current entry of each Risk or Premium is displayed. You can switch this view to display all Risk entries by switching off the ‘Only Current’ switch. Each of the different Entry Statuses are set out in the below table (the table only refers to Risk, but also applies to Premiums).
ENTRY STATUS | DESCRIPTION |
---|---|
Current | This is the current position of the Risk, after the initial reporting of the risk, and any subsequent changes to the Risk (represented by and Endorsement Entry Status record). |
Update |
This is a change to the Risk, following an initial reporting of the Risk. The type of change is specified in the Transaction Type column and the options for the Endorsement Entry Status are: Endorsement, Cancellation and Reinstatement. |
Historic | This is a previous Current position of the Risk, that has now been made historic, due to a subsequent change to the Risk (represented by an Endorsement Entry Status record). |
The Transaction Type column provides further detail on the nature of the record. The first reported record of a Risk must have a Transaction Type of New or Renewal. Subsequent changes will be either Endorsements, Cancellations, or Reinstatements. The Transaction Type of a Current record is the latest Transaction Type; so, if the latest record of a Risk is an Endorsement, then the Current record will have a Transaction Type of Endorsement.
