Contract - Company Endorsements

Understand how to make endorsements to the companies associated with Contracts in Tide

If you wish to change an Insurer, Coverholder, or TPA of a Signed Contract, then you need to select Amend buttons that are in the relevant location. These are as follows:

  • Amend Coverholder(s), in the Coverholders tab at Contract level
  • Amend Insurer, in the Markets tab at Section level
  • Amend Claims Authority (TPA), in the Claims Authority tab at Section level

Selecting these buttons will move the Contract into a Draft Endorsement Status. You can then make the necessary changes, including adding and removing Company – Divisions. Once complete, navigate to the Main tab and select the Draft Endorsement Status button to complete the Endorsement.

To amend a Broker, select to edit Main Details and change the Broker.

Contract Access

Once a Contract has been endorsed, then access to the Contract in Tide is immediately updated. Company – Divisions that have been removed can no longer access the Contract. Company – Divisions that have been added can now access the Contract.

Data Warehouse Updates

For new Company – Divisions added, they will have new Data Warehouse entries created based on the Endorsement Effective Date of the Contract Endorsement. The Endorsement Effective Date will be compared to the following dates for this process:

  • Contract: Contract Inception Date
  • Bordereau: Bordereau Period
  • Risk records: Risk Inception Date
  • Premium records: Risk Inception Date
  • Claim records: Risk Inception Date

As an example, if a Contract is endorsed to have a new Insurer from 01/03/2019, any Risk entries in the Data Warehouse, which have a Risk Inception Date greater than or equal to that date, will be created in the Data Warehouse for the Insurer.

For Company – Divisions that have been removed, the existing Data Warehouse entries will remain unchanged, and no further entries will be generated after the time the endorsement is completed.
