Data Validation - Error Screen Navigation

Understand how to navigate data validation error screens in Tide

Each error screen is designed specifically for the error being presented, but all have some common features.

In the top grey banner of the screen you can see the name of the error being raised, as well as some key details of the Bordereau.

Errors Presentation

The main area of the screen contains an explanation of the error and then presents the errors alongside relevant options to correct them. All error records are presented in a standard grid format and include sorting, filtering, and paging functionality. Columns which have cleansable fields will not be available for sorting or filtering.

In error screens that present individual Risk, Premium, and Claim records, you have the option to create a note regarding the correction you are making. You can use the note icon against each record to create a note just for the individual record, or you can use the note icon above the errors to create a note that is applied to all records in the screen. Error correction notes are recorded in the audit trail in Tide for the individual correction/change and can be viewed in the relevant Data screen and Change Log.

Download Bordereau and Edit Questionnaire

In the bottom left (as highlighted in the below screenshot) you can select to download the original Bordereau file, by selecting Download Bordereau. Also, in the bottom left of the screen you can also select to edit the Bordereau Questionnaire, by selecting Edit Questionnaire. This will take you to the Questionnaire, where you can make any amendments necessary (the error may have indicated that a question was incorrectly answered), and then select to Save and Re-Process - this re-starts the Transformation process from the start using the revised Questionnaire.

Paging

You can select the number of items you wish to view per page, if there are more errors than can fit on one page, then you can select different pages (as highlighted in the below screenshot) using the paging tool in the bottom left corner of the error screen. You do not need to resolve all errors displayed to go to the next page or continue.

Pause

If you wish to stop resolving errors, you can select Pause (as highlighted in the below screenshot). This will close the error screen, and you can return by clicking on the Review Error status of the Bordereau when you are ready.

Skip Errors

In the bottom right of the screen there are buttons to skip to the next error, or skip all errors (as highlighted in the below screenshot) and go to the Bordereau Summary Screen‍.

Continue

Once you have resolved one or more of the errors raised, then you can select Continue (as highlighted in the below screenshot) to save the error resolution(s) and go to the next error, or if there are no more remaining, the Bordereau Summary Screen.
