Contract Data - Claim

Understand how to use the Contract Data - Claim screen

The grid in this screen contains all the Claims received against the Contract. Claims are from Claims submissions (e.g. Claim Bordereaux).

The columns displayed relate to the Schema(s) that are used to process data, with some additional core fields always displayed on the left, such as Error Count and Row Number. The column Risk Received contains a Yes or No value to tell you whether the associated Risk has been received (if it displays Yes, then you can select to open the Risk Summary screen, see below for further details). You can change the fields displayed, and their order, by clicking on Field Display.

Understanding the historical progression of a Claim

Every record in the grid has an Entry Status, which specifies the position of the record in the progress of the Claim over time. The Entry Status is a standard column in this grid, fourth from the left.

By default, only the Current entry of each Claim is displayed. You can switch this view to display all Claim entries by switching off the ‘Only Current’ switch. Each of the different Entry Statuses are set out in the below table.

ENTRY STATUS DESCRIPTION
Current This is the current position of the Claim, after the initial reporting of the Claim, and any subsequent changes to the Claim.
Update This is a change to the Claim, following an initial reporting of the Claim.
Historic This is a previous Current position of the Claim, that has now been made historic, due to a subsequent change to the Claim.

Risk Summary Screen

By selecting the Risk Reference (which is in blue characters) of an individual record you can open the Risk Summary screen. This screen provides the details of this individual risk. Summary details are presented at the top, such as the Insured Name and number of claims.

The tabs for Risk, Premium, and Claims, which contain all entries that relate to this individual Risk, with the same columns as presented in the main Risk, Premium, and Claim Data screens.

The Only Current toggle is defaulted to Off for the Risk, Premium and Claims tabs.

The Export button on the Risk, Premium and Claim tabs allow you to export data in the form of an Excel spreadsheet from each tab, individually. Alternatively, you may export data of all bordereaux types belonging to a single risk, using the Export All button in the top right of the modal.
