The General tab within Rules at Section level captures a variety of key rules.
Typical Policy Period Months
This is the typical length of a Policy within this Contract, measured in months.
Maximum Policy Period Months
This is the maximum policy period that can be written against the Contract, measured in months. Tide assesses whether this has been breached by calculating the number of months between the Risk Inception Date and Risk Expiry Date on Risks reported in Risk and Premium Bordereaux.
Days Policy Issued Post Inception
This is the maximum number of days post inception that policy documents are to be issued. If both the Risk Issued Date and the Risk Inception Date are populated, then Tide will check the number of days between Risk Inception Date and Risk Issued Date, and if it is greater than Days Policy Issued Post Inception, then a breach will be generated.
Maximum Advance Period for Inception Dates
This is the maximum number of days prior to inception of a Risk that it can be bound. If both the Risk Bound Date and Risk Inception Date are populated, then Tide will check the number of days between the Risk Bound Date and Risk Inception Date, and if it is greater than Maximum Advance Period for Inception Dates, then a breach will be generated.
