Data Processing Overview

Understand the overall process that data submissions go through in Tide

Process Overview

Bordereaux go through a single standard process in Tide, from Submission of the original file through to Approval.

This process has four stages, which are set out in the below table. The permissions to complete actions in each stage are detailed in the 'Activity Role - Who' column (click on the article links for further details).

Stage
Activity

Transformation
There are two stages in Transformation:
1. Questionnaire. Translate the Bordereau format to standard Tide data fields by completing a Bordereau Questionnaire.
2. Validation & Enrichment‍. Resolve data quality issues raised by Tide based on standard data quality checks.

Approval

Bordereaux Processing Statuses

Bordereaux have a status, which changes as it passes through each stage in the process. The diagram and table below set out the different Statuses that a Bordereau can be assigned as it moves through the process.

Stage
Statuses
Prior to submission
  • Bordereau records start as either a Scheduled or Overdue Bordereau.
  • A Bordereau is either then recorded as a Nil Bordereau Submissions with a status of Nil Bordereau, or a Bordereau submission is completed.
Submission
  • When a submission is completed, then:
    • if a Bordereau Questionnaire‍ has been assigned, Transformation will be initiated and the Bordereau will have a status of Processing
    • If a Bordereau Questionnaire has not been assigned, then it will remain in an Uploaded status. ‍Transformation can then be initiated at a later time.
Transformation
  • Transformation processing will either result in a status of Review Errors if errors have been identified, or a status of Review if no errors are identified.
  • From a Review status, Bordereau can then be submitted for Assignment‍ and the status will change to For Assignment.
Assignment
  • From an Assignment status, Bordereau can be submitted for Approval‍ and the status will change to For Approval.
Approval
  • Once approved, a Bordereau will have a status of Approved.
