Tasks

Understand how Tasks can be created and managed within Tide

The Tasks function within Tide enables you to create Tasks against individual Bordereau records. To create a Task in Tide navigate to the relevant Bordereau record and click on the time icon. This opens a modal window displaying all the current Tasks against the Bordereau. Select Add Task to create a new Task.

Visit the Task Permissions article for details‍ on the different access and permissions levels associated with Tasks.

Title and Description

You can give your Task a title and description as appropriate.

Related Entity

Tide will automatically populate the Related Entity field with details of the Bordereau against which the Task is being created, as well as populating the Related Entity Type with Bordereau.

Current Owner

Here you can select the Current Owner of the Task; this is who you are assigning the Task to. Only the Current Owner can edit the Task fields (excluding notes, which are covered below). Once they've completed the Task, they can then assign it back to you using this field.

Type

Whether the Task is an Action or Follow Up.

Status

Whether the Task is Open (in progress) or Closed (complete).

Notification Date

Here you can enter a date and time when you would like to receive a notification of the Task. This could be to remind you to take a follow up action on the Task at a future time.

Notes

Once a Task has been created then any User with Access to the Contract ‍can add Notes to the Task. Visit the Task Permissions article for further details‍. You must enter and save any notes prior to amending the other task details.
