A Contract in Tide can have one or many Sections.
Create Sections
To create a Section, you can select + ADD SECTION to the right of the Files tab in a Contract. You can also select to copy an existing Section by selecting Copy within an existing Section. This will create an exact copy of the Section, with the following exceptions:
- Market Section Reference
- Market Section Description
- Company Section Reference(s) (as entered by any participant on the Section from which it was copied)
Key Details
At the top of the Section screen in Tide you can see the key details captured against each Section. This includes the following:
- Market Section Reference - this is the reference of the Section as set out in the contract document, e.g. A or B, 1 or 2.
- Market Section Description - this is the name of the Section as set out in the contract document, e.g. Property.
- Class of Business - a single Lloyd's Class of Business associated with the Section
Section Linking
Renewing Contracts in a Contract Folder can link their Sections together using the Previous Contract Section field.
For example, to link together Section A in the 2019 and 2020 Contracts, you would navigate to Section A in the 2020 Contract and select Section A from the 2019 Contract in the Previous Contract Section field.
Delete Sections
If a Contract is at Draft Status, then you can select to delete a Section.
