Year of Account Contract Identification

Understand how Tide identifies a Contract Year of Account for submitted data

All data submitted into Tide must be assigned to a single Year of Account Contract in Tide.

The way that Tide completes this is based on the answer to the question 'How is the Year of Account associated with each Risk or Claim specified'  on step 4 of Bordereau Questionnaires.

The options are to select a Year of Account column, select to Ascertain from Risk Inception Date, or Ascertain from Sheet Name.

Select Year of Account Column

If you select a column, then Tide will use the year value provided to identify the correct Contract for the Risk, Premium or Claim. If a Contract cannot be identified, then an error will be raised where you can correct the Year of Account to identify the correct Contract.

Ascertain from Risk Inception Date

If you select this option, then Tide will use this Risk Inception Date to identify the appropriate Contract. For example, if the Risk Inception Date was 01/02/2018 and there was a Contract than ran for 01/01/2018 - 31/12/2018, then Tide would assign the Risk to this Contract. If a Contract cannot be identified, then an error will be raised where you can correct the Risk Inception Date or Year of Account to identify the correct Contract.

Where either DDM Risk Standard: Space (risk) or Lloyd’s Coverholder Reporting Standards v5:Adv Inc (premium) schemas have been selected, ‘Ascertain from Risk Inception Date’ will not be an available option to answer the question 'How is the YOA associated with each Risk specified?’. This option will not be available as these schemas require the Year of Account to be provided.

Ascertain from Sheet Name

This option operates in the same manner as a Year of Account column, except the year value is taken from the Sheet Name of the record.
