Service Accounts

To access the Tide Data Extraction Service, your Company is provided with a Service Account. This is security hardened using best-practice methods.

Firewall

Access to the Tide Data Extraction Service will be restricted using an Azure SQL Server Firewall. Service Accounts will only be able to access if they originate from a valid IP Address.

No End-User Access

Due to the high-sensitivity of the data and the security requirements imposed upon it, end-users of the DDM service will not be permitted to access the Tide Data Extraction Service directly.

Row Level Security

Tide’s Data Warehouse adopts Row Level Security (RLS), preventing Companies from viewing/accessing data which is not related to them. The Tide Data Extraction Service utilises this when presenting data.

Encryption

All communication between the Tide Data Extraction Service and the source connection is encrypted.
