Tide identifies the Contract for each record (Risk, Premium, or Claim) based on either the Year of Account (column or sheet name) or Risk Inception Date field. If Year of Account (sheet name or column) is selected in answer to the question ‘How is the YOA associated with each Risk/Claim specified?’, Tide will first validate that the Year of Account from the Bordereau matches Contract Year of Account. Tide will then validate that Risk Inception falls within that year. See the Year of Account Contract Identification article for further details. If there are any errors when identifying the correct Contract, then Tide will raise the Contract Identification Error screen, and if you decide to resolve errors, then you will be taken to the Resolve Contract Identification errors screen.
Contract Identification Error screen
In this screen, Tide displays Years of Account that have been identified, but cannot currently be processed for this submission.
You can then either decide to not import these records by selecting the Do Not Import button or select Continue to resolve the errors.
Resolve Contract Identification errors screen
In this screen all the errored records (other than those errored records discarded in the previous screen) are presented for resolution.
You can update the Year of Account and/or Risk Inception Date to ensure the records are now associated with a Contract of the Reporting Channel used for the submission. You may also decide to amend the Risk Expiry date as appropriate.
