Transformation - Questionnaire Overview

Understand how Translation is completed in Tide using the Bordereau Questionnaire

Introduction

Tide allows the submission‍ of Bordereaux spreadsheet files in a variety of formats that are produced by Coverholders and TPAs. The first stage of the Transformation process in Tide is the Questionnaire stage, where the Bordereau submission format is translated into the Tide standard data-set fields.

To complete this translation, Tide uses a Bordereau Questionnaire. The questionnaire leads you through a series of questions about the Bordereau format you are submitting. Where appropriate, this will include defining enrichment rules to enhance the data; for example, selecting a default Risk Country where not provided in the Bordereau. Tide then uses your answers to automatically translate your Bordereau every time you submit a Bordereau.

The below video tutorial shows you how to complete the Questionnaire process.

Creating a Questionnaire

You can select to create a new Questionnaire when you first submit the new Bordereau format as part of the Bordereau Submission process. You can also create a Questionnaire outside of the submission process from the Bordereau Questionnaires Screen, and then select to use i‍t during Bordereau Submission

To learn how to complete a Bordereau Questionnaire, visit the Completing a Bordereau Questionnaire‍ article.

Selecting a Questionnaire for Use

You select the Questionnaire to be used as part of the Bordereau Submission process. Once you've selected to use a particular Questionnaire, then it is automatically defaulted for use in future submissions of the same Contract and Bordereau Type (Risk, Premium, Risk/Premium or Claim).

You can also let Tide select a matching Questionnaire‍, from all the Questionnaires in use by all users in Tide. You'll then have the option to use a matching Questionnaire, and if this is one created by another Company, then Tide will create a copy of the Questionnaire for you to own and use.

Questionnaire Versions

When a Bordereau Questionnaire is updated, Tide automatically creates a new version of the Questionnaire and documents the change made. To learn more about how to view these Version changes, visit the Bordereaux Questionnaires Screen article.‍
